This website is great for teachers, parents and students. It is kidsafe and has a wonderful privacy policy. This site has fun and colorful links to information about the gods, heroes, and also includes an encyclopedia. There is also a section titled “Today” (http://www.mythweb.com/today/today01.html) which talks about what makes the Greek myths relevant to today. Wonderful site!!

This site is not colorful by any means, but would be good for a teacher source to get specific information on each of the specific Greek Myths and characters of Greek mythology. I would say that it would be a source which teachers would be able to pull information and one which he or she may choose to have their students read. There are some chapters that might not be relevant to what the teacher is teaching. Otherwise good information.

This site has quite a bit of information. Links to each of the characters separately as well as links to specific stories. Teachers this would be great for you as there is a lot of information. Beware that there are some links that do not work all of the time as they may be under construction, and also that you may have to use many links to get to the information that you are looking for. Lots of information, but not easy to get to.

This site is a little
deceiving, it might be fun for the purpose of the story telling, but the site
has promises of a homework help link
that does not work. There are some fun
pictures and such on this website, but otherwise not much use out of it.

This website has short synopses
about each of the characters in Greek mythology. I personally found some of it
to be confusing as there are so many links.
There is a very useful genealogy tree of the gods that could come in
handy. Beware that there are quite a
few advertisements that pop up with each click on a link. Good information but not the best approach
to receive it.

This is a very developed site dealing with the comparison between Greek and Norse mythologies. It discusses in detail the Greek myths and characters and then gives the details of the Norse counterparts. Very informative and kept up frequently.

This site has numerous links to each of the gods and goddesses. Not only does it give you the background on each, it also gives the pronunciation and other various bits of information. It also has examples of where you can find the god or goddess in the Illiad and in the Odyssey. Very useful for information and very simple to use.

Very useful site! Not only are there many links to information
within the site, there is also a place to search for articles stemming from the
encyclopedia’s on Greek mythology. The
information also includes specific genealogy tables etc. This is a site I would recommend using over
and over.

This site is good for teachers and students as well. It includes information about the myths and characters, and also has many activities that would be useful in the classroom. There is a vocabulary activity along with a crossword puzzle activity. Highly useful site.
